Regret

Regret. It is a common yet immensely powerful emotion experienced by everyone.

But, like most people say, it is useless to regret something, right? You should not linger on an event you cannot change.

The psychological behaviors of humans are intertwined with motivation. When the desire to reach a goal overcomes the obstacles in the way, we learn to break barriers.

Regret comes from the unforgiving rigidity of the past. Aching for what you cannot change can become an extraordinary source of extrinsic motivation.

You swore to yourself, “I won't make the same mistake again”, and so, you pushed past your limits, you acted differently from before, because your regrets motivated you and moved you forward.

Regrets can fundamentally change your mind. The stronger it is, the stronger it affects you.

So look at the things you wish you did, look at the things you wish you didn't do. Don't let go of your regrets, grip onto them instead.

That, is how you grow.
